Securitas is now looking for security guards for assignments to protect critical operations for Sweden. This is a role for you who are not just looking for a job – but are ready to take on a task with great responsibility and real significance for our country's supply and security. It is about protecting what must function – around the clock, all year round.

As a security guard, you have a crucial role in maintaining the security of operations that are important for Sweden. You work with extended powers, often in close collaboration with our clients.

The work is varied and includes both stationary and patrolling surveillance, access controls, or work in the monitoring center. You will need to make your own decisions in critical situations, have good endurance, and stable judgment. Therefore, we are looking for a person who has the ability to remain calm when others do not – and is loyal to Swedish interests.

Security guard duties are conducted both indoors and outdoors, day and night. The length of shifts varies, but is often scheduled in 12-hour shifts according to a rolling schedule. Since we work in an operation that is active every day of the year, it includes work on both weekdays and weekends.

The position involves, among other things, that you:

• Patrol and monitor the protected object to detect deviations and suspicious activities.
• Handle incidents and alarms in cooperation with the police.
• Perform checks according to applicable regulations and instructions.
• Collaborate with personnel and authorities on security issues.

Requirements Specification

Requirements:

• Approved high school grades in Swedish and English.
• Driver's license B.
• Availability for work up to full-time during the period June–August.

It is an advantage if you also have:

• Previous experience in guarding protected objects, other surveillance, or security work.
• Trained security guard (civil or military) with valid approval.
• Trained security officer or guard.
• Completed extensive security checks.
• Weapon training (HAS).
• Handled weapons.
• OC spray.

Important to know:

You can have employment with another security company during the recruitment process. If you are offered the position with us, you cannot have a parallel employment with another security company. This is because the role is security classified and such a situation would create a conflict of interest.

Clarification for you as a military security guard:

If you have completed security guard training with the Armed Forces as part of the Armed Forces' basic training (GMU), it can be validated for civilian use. The security guard training, as well as GMU, must have been completed in 2016 or later, and your training certificate must not be older than five years at the time of application. You should have the documentation ready in your application, as it may take time to request from the Armed Forces.

Security Clearance:

Please note that the position is classified and means that you will undergo a security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585). To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements to be approved according to applicable regulations, security interviews, background checks, and record checks will be conducted. The assessment aims to investigate legality, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and any vulnerabilities according to the Security Police's regulations and guidelines. Information collected may come from you, open sources, or authorities. We apply a holistic assessment of you, your life situation, and financial conditions when evaluating your suitability.

In relevant cases, a corresponding check may be made of those you cohabit with or have a similar relationship with.

To be considered for the position, it is therefore required (at a minimum) that;

• You are not listed in the Police Authority's various registers, e.g., suspicion registers, criminal records, etc.
• You have organized finances; do not have payment remarks, unresolved debts, are not listed with collection agencies or the Enforcement Authority.
• You also need to pass a weapons training with a passing shot.

For employment within Securitas Sweden AB, it is required that you are approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company according to the Act (1974:191) on security companies (the application is made by Securitas). Depending on the position, security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may also be relevant. To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements to be approved according to each regulation, a background check will be conducted.

Salary and employment conditions are based on the collective agreement between the employer organization Security Companies and the Swedish Transport Workers' Union.
